On 26 September I went in for my MRI. Despite a delay, all went well. They were able to produce images where they could see what was going on. Unfortunately, compared to my last MRI, there are increasing mucinous deposits present in the retroperitoneum and mesentery. Mucinous material is also seen in the aortocaval space causing mild mass effect. Appearance of intra-abdominal ascites plus I still have irregular and thickened nodular appearance along the surface of the perineum. Plus some improved areas from the surgery in June.
The plan is to take IBRANCE for a couple months and get another MRI in December and see if there is a benefit.
On a fun note, Sharette and I spent our 25th wedding anniversary in Memphis, St. Louis, and Nashville. We had a great time.
Additionally, they also did an MRI on my chest to see if there is a reason for the pain above my diaphragm. I do not have those results back yet.
